The PRC-10 was a portable radio transceiver used by the U.S. military during the Vietnam War and other conflicts. It was designed and produced by the Collins Radio Company in 1951 and replaced by the PRC-25 in 1962. The radio operated in the frequency range from 30 MHz to 76 MHz and had a power output of up to 3 watts. It used a whip antenna and was powered by either BA-279 or BA-339 batteries. The PRC-10 was ruggedly built, and most versions were resistant to water and shock damage. It could be used for both voice and Morse code communications and was used extensively by U.S. military units in both Vietnam and Korea. It was also used by NATO forces and by various countries, including Israel, Pakistan, and Taiwan.
